Speech and Drama Teacher
Approx. 13 hours per week

About the Role
Commencing immediately Tintern Grammar is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic teacher of Speech and Drama to take on and build upon an existing tuition load of 13 to 14 hours, tutoring approximately 30 students. There will be a possibility of additional new enrolments during Term 1 2024. Lessons are delivered over two days and the choice of days is somewhat open to negotiation (any day except Friday). This is a casual employment contract, and the successful applicant will teach students on an individual and group basis. Students taking this subject range from Year 3 to Year 9 students and the successful applicant must be able to relate to students across this age range. Maximum group size at the moment is three.
About You
The successful applicant will have proven experience teaching this subject and excellent communication and organisational skills. Current VIT Registration or a Working With Children Check is essential. There will be scope to increase this load in the future.
Teachers will be expected to keep accurate attendance rolls, communicate regularly with parents, plan and deliver an annual performance event for these students and write ongoing assessment reports throughout the year (at least three per semester).
