As Speech Pathologist you will be required to assess and diagnose communication disorder, this includes developing, implementing, monitoring and reviewing treatment plans. In addition to assessing/managing of swallowing difficulties and coordinating with other allied health professionals and referring partners.
Duties may include providing education to clients, families and community support frameworks. This will include devising communication strategies or identifying alternative communication devices for non-verbal patients.
As an experienced member of the team you will also support and supervise less experienced colleagues within the team.
About You:
- University qualification in Speech Pathology
- Current Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Yearly registration with Speech Pathology Australia
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Valid Australian Driver's License
- Experience and knowledge of the NDIS framework
- Minimum two years experience working as an accredited Speech Pathologist within NDIS, Aged Care or Private sectors
- Ability to communicate effectively with individuals and their carers/families
- Strong attention to detail and accurate administrative skills
- Must be committed to ongoing professional development both within work and personal time
