About the Role

An exciting opportunity exists for a clinician with acute and/or rehabilitation experience to join Pindara Private Hospital and The Southport Private Hospital’s Speech Pathology department.

Working as part of a dynamic multidisciplinary team, the casual Speech Pathologist will be responsible for the assessment and management of a diverse acute and rehabilitation caseload across the two sites.

Your Skills and Experience

• Minimum of two (2) years’ experience working in an adult acute or rehabilitation setting
• Experience in VFSS and/or FEES is highly desirable
• Experience in SPEAK OUT! or LSVT is highly desirable
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and written skills
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and in co-operation with others
• Clinical skills in comprehensive assessment, management and discharge planning
• Professional behaviour and conduct which reflects self-initiative, confidentiality, self-evaluation and commitment to professional development
• Good working knowledge of community support services
• Skills in Microsoft Office suite of programs
• Ability to manage a demanding workload, and effectively prioritise tasks

About The Hospitals

Pindara Private Hospital is a 348-bed acute medical/surgical and maternity hospital serving the northern end of the Gold Coast. The Hospital is serviced by 16 onsite operating theatres, a cardiac catheterisation lab, 2 dedicated endoscopy suites, a 9 bed ICU and a 5 Bed CCU; five luxurious delivery suites, 25 maternity beds and a 16-cot special care nursery, a specialised 13 bed paediatrics ward; as well as modern ward accommodation for medical and surgical patients.

The Southport Private Hospital provides comprehensive mental health and rehabilitation services to the Gold Coast and wider community.

Requirements

• Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
• According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases, which may include Covid-19.
