About the role
As a Speech Pathologist in our Foundation Skills Group, you will be part of a collaborative and supportive multi-disciplinary team of teaching and allied-health professionals and be responsible for the provision of therapeutic assessments and evidence-informed intervention for young children, in the area of Speech Pathology. The Foundation Skills Group runs from 9 am to 3 pm, with 4 therapists facilitating a group of 10 children (aged 3-6). You will follow an overall program to ensure children participating achieve their goals, however, your clinical expertise is required to ensure the program is tailored to the individual’s needs, in a neurodiversity-affirming way.
What you'll need to succeed
- Bachelor of Applied Science (Speech Pathology) or Masters in Speech Pathology
- Membership or eligibility for membership with Speech Pathology Australia (SPA)
- Experience in the provision of Speech Pathology services
- Experience in the delivery of services to clients with developmental delay/disorders
- Sound knowledge of a range of assessments and intervention options
- Experience with meal time issues and/or developing/reviewing Oral Eating Drinking Care Plans is desirable
- DHS Working with Children Clearance (WWCC);
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance;
- National Police Check (NPC); and
- Full COVID-19 Vaccinations (including boosters).
