Sports Officer

John Paul College is seeking a dynamic and organised individual to fill the role of Sports Officer.

As a Sports Officer, you'll play a pivotal role in enhancing our sports and activities programs while contributing to the overall well-being of our students.

The duties of this position will include-

• Collaborate with the Head of Sport and Activities, Sports and Activities team, and Sport Co-ordinators to ensure the smooth operation of all primary and secondary co-curricular and extra-curricular programs.
• Manage registrations, rolls, and venue bookings for all College sports and activities.
• Prepare and maintain documents and 
• Maintain accurate databases of student participation and achievements.
• Provide administrative and operational support for College and representative carnivals.
• Assist with College events such as assemblies and end-of-season celebrations.
• Oversee volunteer onboarding and compliance processes.
• Manage requirements and bookings for external sports and activities contractors.
• Support Co-ordinators and Head Coaches with the organisation and promotion of holiday camps and skill development workshops.
• Provide key support with community partnerships and touring opportunities

A friendly and approachable demeanour will be crucial in this position, as will good communication (both written and verbal) skills.

Applicants will need to hold and maintain a positive notice Blue Card (Working with Children check) prior to the commencement and for the duration of employment. 

Applicants should also hold (or be willing to obtain prior to commencing) a current Senior First Aid certificate which includes CPR.
