Job Description:The Developer/Engineer role will sit within Treasury Technology. This team is responsible for responding to APRA regulatory changes by uplifting business rules implementation, and uplifting controls and process optimisation throughout the End-to-End Interest Rate and Liquidity Risk process.The project requires an increase in technical delivery and is looking for a driven individual to adopt treasury solution design standards within the project's development and delivery space. Responsible for the implementation of quality and operational reliable solutions to complex Business Data requirements in both major project and ongoing continuous improvements.
Expectations of the role:- Learn and apply design standards to Database and Batch processing development, covering all aspects of the system within the sub-domain.
- Ensure that applications are designed and developed to a high standard, focused on the customer requirement, but also Operational suitability.
- Experience in database, batch and reporting optimisation to tune processes desirable. (SQL Server 2014/2019, SSIS, Control-M, QlikView) and SSIS development is mandatory.
- Propose improvement & enhancement ideas by looking for opportunities within project and/or BAU.
- Diagnosis and root-cause analysis of problems, by employing a strong eye for detail and troubleshooting skills.
- End to end accountability for implemented solutions. Adherence to Organisational Framework and Processes.
- Participate in sprint planning, with a keen eye for detail of critical path delivery through the various milestones to Production.
- Be strongly interested in data as it pertains to Data Governance over Critical Financial Data Elements, Data Quality metrics etc.
- Develop relationships with Technical Leads in the broader team to gain insights and share experiences.

What do I need?To be set up for success in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:
- 3+ years' experience within the IT Industry, specialising in Database development.
- Experience in Agile Teams, who have had DevOps responsibilities.
- Treasury experience highly desired, particularly in areas of Interest Rate Risk or Liquidity Risk.
- Mandatory - SQL Server / SSIS - Experience in design preferable. Dev Ops toolsets, and experience managing code base.
- Desirable (but not mandatory) - Qlik / QRM
