Sr Sales Representative

Sydney but also open to Melbourne

We are currently seeking an Sr Sales Representative to join our Honeywell Building Solutions (HBS) team in our North Ryde, Sydney office. The role is also open to a suitable candidate to work in our Abbotsford office based in Melbourne. Reporting to the Senior Sales Manager, your focus will be to continuously identify new sales opportunities and focus on providing consultative support by building value propositions for the customer, manage and build customer contacts and be the focal point for relationship strategies, sales plans, proposal strategies, and contract negotiations, for pursuits in play.

Honeywell Building Technologies (HBT) is a $5B+ strategic business unit within Honeywell. HBT works directly with customers and end-users to install and maintain the systems that help keep buildings and facilities connected, safe, secure, comfortable, cost-effective and is a leading provider of energy efficiency solutions worldwide. HBT specializes in the installation and service of critical infrastructure including building systems and automation, fire, security and energy management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve Sales Orders Annual Operating Plan (AOP) quota targets (Orders, Rev/GM and Profit) by closing sales while adhering to pricing and sales policies
  • Grow the pipeline of opportunities in pursuit of sales growth and secure sales in line with the targets
  • Formulate robust long-term strategies and plans to develop and identify emerging and new strategic accounts/opportunities aimed at expanding the customer portfolio base in their assigned area or vertical
  • Dissemination of key messages, initiatives and information pertaining to the value proposition HBS brings to targeted customers, opportunities, and solutions
  • Partner with potential customers as well as establishing relationships with builders, developers and relevant industry consultants
  • Collaborate with other internal Sales Reps, assigned Account Managers, and Project and Service teams

Key Experience & Capabilities:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Engineering or other business-related field
  • Additional 5 years' experience required in lieu of university degree
  • Minimum 3 years of business to business selling service experience
  • Strong business acumen, knows and understands the market in selling any of the following - building solutions, BMS, electronic security, software solutions, IT and ICT solutions
  • Customer engagement at senor levels; proven experience prospecting for opportunities
  • Has security clearance is highly advantageous but be able to obtain it will also be highly regarded
  • Experience working in a multi-national, highly matrixed organization
  • Salesforce experience (preferred)
