Beata Homecare provides home care services to support the independence of clients from various cultural backgrounds.
We have an exciting opportunity available for a Staff Supervisor/Educator to join our team! This is a full-time position.
You will be responsible for:
- Providing guidance, support, education, training and feedback to staff
- Performance monitoring through feedback from clients and staff, spot checks, follow-up phone calls and meetings (phone, Zoom or face-to-face)
- Work closely with the administration and clinical team for strategic workforce planning
- Plan & run staff meetings and staff training sessions
- Create training materials, staff handbooks, policies and procedures
- Proactively and innovatively interact with care workers to maintain connection and embracing organisational culture
- Assistance with recruitment of care workers (interviewing, reference checks, document checks)
- Conduct new staff inductions
- Monitoring and maintaining the validity of staff compliance documents
This is a full-time role (Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm). However, you will be required to be flexible for staff observations of shifts outside of these hours from time to time.
You will also be required to travel around Melbourne and some regional areas for staff observations.
Key traits of a successful candidate:
- Proven experience as an educator/trainer/manager/supervisor in the aged care or community services sector
- Background in nursing
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is preferred
- Excellent communication skills and ability to provide feedback in a firm and concise manner
- Well-presented and high level of professionalism
- Genuine interest and passion for people
- Great problem solving skills and patience to resolve staff issues
- Strong understanding of compliance in the aged care sector
- Demonstrate strong leadership skills with an approachable nature
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Strong eye for detail and accountability to ensure compliance is met
Other Requirements:
- National Police Check or NDIS Workers Screening Check
- First Aid & CPR certificate
- Drivers Licence
- Minimum 2 doses of the COVID-19 Vaccination
