The newly established Nurse and Midwife Health Program Australia (NMHPA) provides a broad range of sensitive health and wellbeing support to nurses, midwives and students that is free, confidential, and independent. We offer care and support in a welcoming, compassionate, and non-judgmental environment where nurses, midwives and students have a safe place to connect and heal. Our services are offered on a national basis through a range of service options including face to face, telehealth and video conferencing appointments where qualified and experienced team members provide consultations Monday-Friday 8.30-5pm.
The Stakeholder Engagement and Communications Coordinator is a key role within NMHPA, focusing on Stakeholder Engagement, health program expansion, and communication of the health challenges for nurses, midwives, and students.
We are seeking a registered nurse and or midwife to work closely with the CEO and Deputy Director to establish and execute plans to achieve our core objectives of building awareness of health risk in the Nursing and Midwifery professions, destigmatizing health impairment, and encouraging help-seeking behaviours among those affected or at risk.
Key responsibilities in this key role include:
- Effectively work with key stakeholders to develop priorities and action plan.
- Ensure stakeholders are informed of the services by providing presentations, forums, conference attendance and peak body engagement.
- Effectively communicate associated risks of working in the sector and promoting NMHPA services.
- Work towards breaking down health and wellbeing barriers and pre-conceived ideas for nurses, midwives and students.
- Ensure documentation is up-to-date and presented and communicated in a manner that achieves NMHPA objectives and outcomes.
To be successful in the role, you will have the following:
- Tertiary qualifications in nursing/midwifery, ideally with a post-graduate in communications and/or health and wellbeing.
- Proven track record of working with a broad range of stakeholders.
- Strong ability to work with others to achieve beneficial outcomes.
- Extensive knowledge of the nursing and midwifery professions.
- Highly developed interpersonal and relationship skills.
- Highly developed communication and presentation skills.
- Experience working on staff health and wellbeing programs.

The gross annual base salary is circa. $107, 000 - $116 000, depending on the relevant state or territory public sector agreement, plus superannuation.
