About the opportunity
The role of the Support Team Worker in the StandBy - Western Victoria team is responsible for the provision of support to those who have been impacted or bereaved through suicide as directed by the Standby - Western Victoria Coordinator. The Support Team provides direct support to assist individuals and groups who have been impacted by suicide in the Western Victoria region.
You will also need:
- Tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent level of expertise and experience in social science, health or associated disciplines relevant to the requirements of the position.
- Skills and qualifications that meet SCHCADS Award - Level 3
- Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) is desirable (however preferred applicant will be supported to obtain upon recruitment).
- Hold a current 'C' class driver license.
- Hold, or be eligible to apply for, working with children check
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- NDIS Orientation Module
- Police clearance - less than 12 months old
