State Manager – Western Australia
With a strong focus on growth, an exciting opportunity exists for an energetic, self-motivated and experienced State Manager who wants the challenge to build a branch from the ground up.
The position available is based in our East Perth Office and reporting to the General Manager based in Victoria, this business-critical position will take full responsibility for the commercial operations of the state. The successful candidate will receive a very competitive renumeration package including car allowance, fuel allowance, phone and the full range of IT tools.
Experience in business development via specification with the ability to manage multiple relationships with Architects, Specifiers, Distributers and Builders along with Key skills in analyzing data, creating presentations, and executing continuous improvement initiatives will be a requirement for this position. Driving customer service excellence, building strong internal and external relationships, the capability to influence and lead without having direct reports and delivering the results that allows continued growth within our business will also be an advantage.
RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Gaining product specifications with Architects, Specifier's & Designers within the region and grow brand awareness creating further sales opportunities.
- Achieve sales targets through our diverse distribution channels within your region, which includes occasional regional travel.
- Develop and build on existing excellent Customer relationships
- Identify and cultivate new business opportunities
- Maintain our CRM and Operating systems
- Monitor daily operations to ensure that branch meets KPIs around administrative policies and procedures.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE
- Sales/Account Management experience.
- Ability to drive and achieve financial targets in sales growth and operational savings.
- Proven track record in presenting to the Architectural and Design community developing specification opportunities and building brand identity.
- Experienced in a Sales/ Business Development environment in a related industry
- Experience managing project sales and dealing with Distributors
- Strong communication (written and verbal) with excellent attention to detail.
- Able to lead and develop a team through influence.
- Planning and organizational skills specializing in planning call cycles, presentations, & managing projects
- Demonstrated Leadership qualities with a "hands on" approach.
- Sound administration and time management skills.
- Ability to understand and meet KPI requirements.
- Intermediate computer literacy skills.
