Our client has their head office in Adelaide, South Australia and they are a national manufacturer, importer and supplier of industrial and commercial piping systems to various sectors including the Food, Oil & Gas, Water, Mining, Hospital, Pharmaceutical and general construction sectors.
To support business growth, and with the opening of a new Distribution Centre in Perth, our client wants to add a State Sales Manager to the National Team.
Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for the professional management of your territory to develop it to its full potential, including identification of new opportunities, and managing the existing customer base. You will have the opportunity to develop a comprehensive understanding of the product range and applications to provide the highest level of service to customers.cts and relationships with current customers
You will be responsible for:
- Maintaining the existing pipeline of proje
- Working with the General Manager, National Specification Manager, Technical Manager, Design Manager and other key technical staff in developing new business opportunities
- Developing and maintaining a sales plan for new and existing customers
- Contributing to and distribution of marketing communications
- Representing the company at industry events
- Ensuring a full pipeline of activity is consistently maintained to meet targeted sales goals
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have extensive sales experience and a demonstrable track record in technical sales preferably in industrial, marine, mining or construction.
- Preferably have experience in the industrial and commercial plumbing market
- Be a committed, flexible and a dynamic individual with a strong work ethic
- Be self-motivated and possess the ability work as part of a national team as well as autonomously, and remotely
- Demonstrate your commitment to customer service and to achieving both individual and team goals
- Have sound written and verbal communication skills, and contemporary IT skills
- Ideally have experience with an advanced CRM platform
The role requires regional and some interstate travel. You will receive competitive remuneration including salary, performance-based incentives and a fully maintained company car.
