Stock Control And Store Person

Position Purpose

The focus of the Stock Control and Store Person is to manage inventory effectively and efficiently, overseeing the movement of incoming and outgoing goods for NewDirection Care Bellmere.  As the Stock Control and Store Person you will be responsible for the delivery of quality customer service, liaising with all suppliers building relationships and maintaining stock levels to support the business. Your role will involve supervising a Store Person and ensuring inventory management aligns to the organisation’s objectives, budgets and the residents’ preferences including their dietary requirements. 

Main Responsibilities

• Ensure the corner store is clean, adequately stocked, organized, and well kept. 
• Maintain stock levels in corner store and across the facility. 
• Processes all purchases for NDC inclusive of medical supplies and groceries for the houses.
• Conduct monthly Stock Control and inventory audits within the store and across the facility.
• Ensure stock pricing is updated within the EPOS system. 
• Welcoming and assisting residents, family, and staff in the corner store.
• Display and organise products in the store for customers to easily locate.
• Process payment from customers through our EPOS system. 
• Restocking items of the shelves, pricing items, rotating, and removing stock when necessary. 
• Liaising with suppliers on estimated time of delivery and ensuring that stock arrives on time and is correct. 
• Liaise with vendors and suppliers regarding stock, deliveries, and pricing.
• Reporting any delivery issues. 
• Collaborating with menu planner and management to source required items. 
• Keeping meticulous records for accounts payable.
• Providing monthly reporting on all logistical activity, incoming and outgoing expenses against budgets.
• Manage compliance in relation to food safety and cleaning documentation, reporting any non-compliance to the GMSS. 
• Work collaboratively with management and team members to analyse EPOS Data and make recommendations to minimise waste, improve profits and overall operational efficiency.
• Proactively building relationships with suppliers to optimise the operational efficiency of the business.

Skills, experience, and requirements

• Purchasing and Stock Control experience required
• Excellent Communication skills 
• EPOS experience desirable 
• Process driven
• Supplier experience
• Experience working in aged care facility preferred 
• Proof of NDIS workers screening check 
• Proof of right to work in Australia
