Community Enterprise Queensland (CEQ) is the leading supermarket chain in North Queensland communities. CEQ operates 28 outlets throughout North Queensland and are currently seeking a motivated and enthusiasticStore Administration Officer to join our team here in Cairns fulltime

About the role

The Store Administration Officer will be responsible for assisting the operations team with investigations, data integrity, reporting and store assistance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Provide administration support for the GM Operations & Retail Manager.
  • Conduct research and investigations as required, interrogating cash variances to complete investigations in a timely and confidential manner.
  • Interpret the procurement management system to ensure data integrity.
  • Provide store reports as needed with a focus towards inventory integrity.
  • Collect and report on customer engagement data from in-store kiosks
  • Assist with fulfilment of store non stock orders.
  • Conduct research on current and future ranging in stores with a focus towards healthier sustainable business model.
  • Food safety analysis on takeaway/cafe stores which will include systems and menus working with Merchandise team.
  • Demonstrate a personal commitment to all matters relating to health and safety.
  • Build and maintain a good working relationship with all team members with focus towards engagement and communication between store teams and support office.
  • Travel to CEQ stores on occasion. This may involve assisting with daily store operations or other projects and may extend outside normal working hours.
  • Other duties may be assigned as per business requirements.

Essential Requirements

Essential Qualifications/Education/Skills and/or Experience/Licenses

  • A minimum 12 months experience working in remote location
  • Excellent attention to detail with very good numerical, oral and written communication skills
  • Computer literate and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (particularly MS Excel) and familiar with the operations of computerized purchase order-based inventory systems
