CASAIR is an aircraft charter operator and aircraft maintenance business based at Jandakot Airport. We are seeking a full-time Stores and Purchasing Officer to support our busy team of aircraft maintenance engineers.
The Stores and Purchasing Officer reports directly to the Engineering Manager (EM) or the Chief Engineer (CE) in the absence of the EM. The tasks expected include, but are not limited to:
- Identifying suitable external suppliers of goods and services as required by the business, assessment of best value and negotiation of pricing.
- Liaising with and managing external suppliers including ensuring those suppliers meet the required standards or quality assurance and accreditation for the supply of their products.
- Ensuring compliance with the purchasing polices of the business throughout the requisition process through to invoice acquittal in MYOB.
- Ensuring required requisitions of parts and stock are actioned promptly and accurately and are available when required.
- Managing an accurate inventory of the Company's stores including stock-taking duties, shelf-life management, accurate tracking of all inwards and outwards items.
- Management of freight (Inbound and outbound deliveries), including dangerous goods.
- Management of unserviceable components, the Quarantine Store and disposal process.
- Inspecting and maintaining all tools and equipment in a serviceable condition property stored, calibrated, and tagged.
- Liaising with and assisting the EM / CE and the HAAMC in ensuring the planning and conduct of aircraft maintenance through maintenance forecasting and resource allocation, preparation and production or work packages, updating of logbooks and accurately recorded information is completed.
- Maintaining up to date technical records associated with aircraft maintenance and manufacturing.
- Contributing to the ongoing improvement of safety and operational efficiency.
- Any tasks as requested by the EM when it is reasonably within the skill set of the Stores/Purchasing Officer or will be, provided the Stores/Purchasing Officer is given the necessary guidance and training to gain the skill sets and knowledge required.
Position requirements:
This role requires a person who is proficient in:
- Civil Aviation Safety Regulations (CASR), especially Part 145;
- MS Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint and Teams;
- Aerotrack or similar Maintenance Repair and Operations (MRO) programs.
MYOB or similar accounting software; - Coordinating and applying storage procedures in accordance with the relevant regulations.
- General warehouse and driving duties including forklift operations;
