About the role
This role, reporting into the Executive GM of Strategy and Product, is an influential senior role responsible for leading end-to-end design and successful delivery of the strategy and improvement functions. As a senior leader, they will collaborate cross-functionally to drive growth and strategy execution across the organisation. A big picture thinker with a keen eye for detail and ability to build trust and credibility at all levels of the organisation.
A summary of key responsibilities:
- Lead strategic planning methodologies, processes, and templates, including market analysis, financial modelling, and objective setting;
- Develop annual enterprise strategy and initiative plans, driving a culture of strategic alignment and integration;
- Partner cross-functionally to implement and manage strategic and operational plans, driving growth opportunities;
- Define and oversee continuous improvement methodologies and templates, driving cross-functional business improvement initiatives;
- Conduct comprehensive analysis of existing processes, identifying inefficiencies and opportunities for automation and technology integration;
- Develop and manage function evaluation metrics, participate in budget planning, and deliver internal and external reporting on progress and results;
- Maintain expertise in CDS schemes, recycling trends, consumer behaviours, and stakeholder landscapes;
- Stay informed on emerging technologies and industry developments for process optimisation and innovation;
- Provide executive support, demonstrating leadership values, and building team capability within the Strategy and Production function; and
- Represent the organisation at industry events, contributing to its visibility and thought leadership.
About you:
This potentially career defining role will drive the execution of strategy and cater to an individual at ease reporting to an Executive Leadership Team, while possessing the capability to collaborate and foster cross-functional engagement for the enhancement of the strategy improvement program.
- Bachelor's degree in fields such as strategy, innovation, or business, required with Masters degree in a Business or Data discipline desirable;
- 3 - 5 years prior experience in strategy development at a senior level, including leading (directly and indirectly) team outcomes;
- Experience with continuous improvement methodologies and programs;
- Proficiency in quantitative and qualitative analysis, with a good handle on data visualisation tools, data analytics, and developing sound insights from data;
- Experience in not-for-profit or government environments is desirable;
- Genuine interest in influencing and enabling all people to better participate in a circular economy; and
- Ability to demonstrate adept stakeholder collaboration by bringing together diverse stakeholders for shared successes through clear communication and fostering teamwork across departments and teams.
