Elite Compliance are a Western Australian full-service building and construction consultant company. We operate nationally delivering professional accredited services to the construction industry, due to expansion, we are now seeking additional team members to join our growing company.
About the role:
You will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections, assessments, and evaluations of various structures, such as buildings, bridges, and other infrastructure projects. Playing a critical role in ensuring the structural integrity, safety, and compliance of these structures with relevant engineering codes and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Structural Inspections:
- Perform on-site inspections of structures to assess their condition, safety, and compliance with design specifications and engineering standards.
- Identify any signs of structural damage, deterioration, or potential risks that might compromise the integrity of the structure.
- Assessment and Documentation:
- Evaluate inspection findings and document detailed reports outlining the structural conditions observed, including photographs, measurements, and notes.
- Analyse data to determine the severity of issues and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
- Code and Standards Compliance:
- Ensure that structures adhere to relevant engineering codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
- Provide recommendations for necessary repairs or modifications to bring structures into compliance.
- Risk Analysis:
- Conduct risk assessments to identify potential hazards or vulnerabilities in structures and assess their potential impact on safety and functionality.
- Collaboration:
- Collaborate with architects, designers, project managers, and other engineering professionals to communicate inspection findings and coordinate necessary repairs or improvements.
- Continuous Learning:
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in Structural Engineering, codes, and regulations to enhance expertise and improve inspection practices.
- Client Interaction:
- Communicate with clients to explain inspection results, address concerns, and provide recommendations for necessary actions.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years' experience
- White Card
- Professional Engineer (RPEng) license or equivalent certification.
- Strong knowledge of Structural Engineering principles, codes, and standards.
- Experience in conducting structural inspections and assessments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to accurately document findings.
- Effective communication skills for both written reports and verbal interactions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Prior experience with project management and coordination is a plus.
Work Environment: You will split your time between office work for data analysis, report writing, and communication, and fieldwork for on-site inspections. The role will involve occasional travel to different locations depending on the scope of projects.
