Structural Steel Trainee Estimator

AMARCON Group is seeking a Trainee Structural Steel Estimator to join our successful team!

Based on the Central Coast NSW, AMARCON Group is a highly reputable manufacturer of Structural Steel and precast concrete wall panels for projects all over NSW and is looking to grow our team. Due to the continued growth within the business, we have a vacancy for a Junior/Trainee Estimator in our Structural Steel division.

This role is designed, and perfect for the aspiring construction professional to learn the craft as we invest in you. 

The suitable candidate will have these essential employment criteria:

• Some experience in a similar role.
• Some ability to interpret/analyse tender documentation, structural and architectural drawings.
• Ability to read and interpret workshop drawings.
• Have a strong attention to detail.
• Motivated, with a great “can do” attitude.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbally.
• Organised and demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• NSW Driver's License

Desirable Employment Criteria:

• Structural Drafting experience
• Some experience in liaising, obtaining and negotiating prices from suppliers.
• Ability to use CAD software. Preferred though not essential.
• NSW Construction White Card
• Located on the Central Coast/Newcastle areas.

This position is an integral part of our team. You will work closely with the management team to deliver timely written quotations and convert tenders into new projects. 

For the successful candidate there is opportunity for training and advancement. Remuneration is negotiable and based on experience. This position is available for immediate start.
