About the Team
The Lifetime Learner Experience Unit is part of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Education and Students portfolio and was formed in 2021 to enable the alignment of a range of learner acquisition and administration activities which are critical to the success of the?UTS 2027 Strategy?and in supporting the UTS Vision. 
The LLE Unit consists of the following areas: 

  • Future Learners - approx. 100 FTE 
  • Current Learners - approx. 100 FTE 
  • Operations - approx. 25 FTE (excludes casuals) 
As the first point of contact for international applicants, the International Recruitment Team strive for the successful attraction and acquisition of future learners, promoting the educational excellence of UTS internationally.  
Reporting to the Head, International Recruitment, the three regional teams manage the recruitment and admissions of international applicants.  Working collegially, these three regional teams provide a seamless admission process for prospective international students. The Student Advisors are assigned to one of these regional teams.  
About the Role
LLE is currently recruiting for three (3) Student Advisors, to join our International Recruitment Team, on a full-time continuing basis! 

The Student Advisor is responsible for the efficient processing of onshore and offshore applications including assessment of overseas qualifications, assessment of English language proficiency, assessment of recognition of prior learning (RPL) and making recommendations for admission based on delegated Faculty guidelines.   
The incumbent is also required to promote UTS by participating in student recruitment activities. Interstate or international travels may be required.

  • Efficient in processing onshore and offshore applications from international students 
  • Experienced and skilful in delivering high quality client-focussed services 
  • Committed to providing accurate and timely information 
  • Able to sustain and maintain levels of concentration in a large volume processing environment to ensure accuracy 
  • Excellent in cross culture interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication 
With examples, please outline in a separate document how you meet the following five (5) key selection criteria points below:
  1. Ability to handle an extremely large workload without sacrificing speed or accuracy 
  2. High level of attention to detail skills
  3. Proven capacity to interpret complex policies and procedures 
  4. Ability to work as part of a team 
  5. Strong proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (eg: Word, Excel, Outlook, Team etc.) 
The ability to speak Mongolian, Japanese, or other second languages is desirable but not essential.  
Remuneration & Benefits 
Base Salary Range: $78,667 to $89,995 pa (HEW 5) 

This role attracts 17% superannuation (pension) in addition to the base salary.
