Warakirri College is a highly regarded independent school offering Year 10 and HSC courses to young people who have disengaged from mainstream education pathways primarily due to struggles with anxiety or depression and social disadvantage.
Greater demand for our style of education means Warakirri is expanding, with locations currently at Fairfield, Blacktown and two in Campbelltown.
This vacancy is in the Distance Education program which is located in our purpose-built campus in Watsford Rd, Campbelltown. This program runs mostly online, with live classes and 1:1 support via Zoom. We use the Canvas learning management system and Google Workspace for Education to create our online learning environment. The staff also coordinate a few days onsite each term so that students can attend some face-to-face lessons and receive individual support.
Due to rapid growth in the Distance Education program, Warakirri College is seeking an experienced SLSO to start as soon as possible in Term 2.
We offer above award salaries and outstanding employment conditions. Warakirri College is a Public Benevolent Institution so staff make significant tax savings through a variety of salary packaging options, meaning more money in your take-home pay and access to discounts on items such as dining out and holiday accommodation. Please ask us how this can benefit you.
