Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and open-minded Studio Manager who can positively lead the team to thrive and exceed expectations. You will be responsible for managing the creative direction of all studio outputs, motivating and supporting the team daily whilst ensuring that the quality of work produced meets, or exceeds our brand guidelines and objectives.
This position requires someone who is creative, efficient, capable of training new staff and has the knack to inspire others. The candidate must also be capable of working independently, can think outside the box, has excellent time management skills and is highly interpersonal.
Responsibilities
Manage the production process and make sure all outputs from the studio are created to a high level of quality and delivered on time.
Inspire, organise, and manage the team and workflow. From concept to creation, you will support the crew in developing strong engaging concepts and producing stimulating and fun content.
Conduct and run effective daily W.I.P. meetings, and weekly production meetings where all voices are heard and concepts are developed into film treatments. Annual KPI's and recruitment is also part of the role. You will work directly under the CEO with minimal supervision.
Other tasks include training, reviewing videos, overseeing post production and giving constructive feedback to help nurture and encourage professional development.
Knowledge of lightroom, adobe creative suite and portrait photography is an advantage.
Additional responsibilities include admin and maintaining the studio so it’s always safe and organised (with OHS standards in mind).
You will nurture and support a fun and professional environment where both the companies vision and brand values are celebrated and respected.
Lead by example in anticipating issues, effectively resolving problems and actively seeking improvement to ensure harmony in the workplace.
You would also have a good eye for all aspects of filmmaking. A love of photography and feminist erotica is a huge advantage.
Hours will be: 9 – 5 Mon to Thursday, and 9 – 4 Friday
Car is an advantage and valid driver's license is a must.
Qualifications
● 5-10 years’ experience working as a Studio Manager in a creative field
● Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize tasks, delegate and work within deadlines with little supervision
● Inspire, train and upskill team
● The ability to think of creative solutions and keep abreast of technology whilst communicating in a pleasant and professional manner
● Ability to develop community and build a strong team
● Creative flair for set building and studio maintenance
● Experience with adobe creative cloud
● Have an meticulous “eye” for quality and inspire artistry in content creation
● Advanced interpersonal communication skills and personal discretion required.
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills. The ability to write, speak and interact clearly and professionally.
● Maintain a cool head when plans change at short notice and prepare team to roll into a plan B
Salary:
$80,000 - $90,000 (Plus super and annual leave)
to be negotiated depending on years of experience.
