Study Manager

GR Engineering Services Limited (GRES) specialises in providing high quality engineering design and construction services to the mining and mineral processing industries. Our services cover all aspects of a project life cycle from the initial evaluation and study phase through to design, constructions, commissioning and operational support.We are currently seeking a Senior Study Manager to join our growing office team based in our Milton office. As a Study Manager reporting directly to Manager – Eastern Region you will be responsible for delivering studies for clients across all stages of the mining/mineral project lifecycle, from scoping, pre-feasibility, through to definition study phase. This role will be responsible for coordinating a multi-discipline team with full accountability across the quality, budget, schedule and risk management of the study works. Our current studies suite covers the full range of metals and minerals, from the traditional gold and base metals through to the developing battery minerals e.g. Lithium, Aluminium, and Graphite etc.This is an exciting time to join GRES as we are experiencing significant growth providing great opportunities for you to develop alongside us.Key Responsibilities of the role:Manage and administrate the undertaking of study work to a budget and scheduleManaging the progress of deliverables for each studyChecking discipline engineering works as requiredOrganising Peer Review activities at the appropriate junctures in the study worksEnsuring design & study standards are followedQuality management and study report authoringClient relationship management and fostering good team relationsSkills/Qualifications:Tertiary engineering qualification or similarAt least 10+ years’ experience in a similar role (Lead Process/Study Engineer or Study Manager)Strong communication skills (oral and written) and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externallyKnowledge and experience in the development of feasibility studies in the Mining and Construction industriesKnowledge of the JORC and NI-43-101 systems and the normally accepted estimating methodology and guidelines applied into minerals and mining projectsStrong skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, Power point and Publisher)Must be customer focused, team oriented, accountable and results drivenFull and unrestricted Australian working rights What’s on offer:With over 800 employees across Australia, our focus is to create a rewarding working environment where you will be valued and appreciated for your knowledge, experience and innovative mind.Here at GRES, we offer:Competitive salary and remuneration packagesOpportunities to grow your career as the business growsA collaborative and supportive team environment with all the tools to succeedA diverse project portfolio with local and international clientalGRES is an equal opportunity employer and believes that diversity, equity and inclusion deepens our depth of knowledge, capability and experience.
