RESPONSIBILITIES
About The role
Your role will join our Brisbane team leading a processing team, in the engineering and design space providing overall technical assurance of deliverables that range from studies through to detailed engineering and execution while ensuring organisational planning for the group occurs. This role will also hold dual responsibility as a Study Manager for our QLD team, were you will partner with a client leading engineering study execution (concept to PFS/DFS), responsible for developing and driving compliance and execution of Woods study management process, collaborating with engineering and project delivery on key deliverables and proposal requirements.
This opportunity will employ your embedded people leadership skills to build a collaborative working culture, where you will guide your team forward through our business strategy and projects whilst coaching them through their individual career/professional development goals.
QUALIFICATIONS
About You
This opportunity is seeking a qualified Chemical Engineer/Metallurgist who has experience leading teams and/or aligned career in study management alongside technical profession in processing engineering within the mining industry. This will offer opportunity to blend your technical expertise in mineral processing/hydrometallurgical engineering, in combination with your leadership, client relationship and project management skills
In addition, we are looking for the following attributes/skills. -
- Tertiary qualifications from a recognized institute in Chemical or Metallurgical Engineering
- Relevant experience in hydrometallurgical plant design. Experience with commodities such as lithium, nickel, cobalt, copper and rare-earths would be highly regarded
- Ability to lead and develop a team of technical; professionals.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Experience with process simulation software such as SysCAD and/or METSIM would be highly regarded
- Experience leading and managing engineering studies from BFS,PFS to DFS stages
- Knowledge of process plant design, construction, commissioning and operation and associated infrastructure
- Experience developing proposals, budgets and schedules for new studies
- Ability to work effectively in a matrix structure, liaising with and securing resources from functional heads and working groups
