Job description
Council is seeking applications from highly motivated and experienced persons to fill this important role within the Open Space & Recreation Department.
Key Responsibilities
The position will be responsible for the planning, development and implementation of all maintenance and construction work associated with the Leeton Golf Course and the planning of turf maintenance schedules for Council’s Sporting Grounds.
Qualifications and Experience
The applicant should have the ability to supervise personnel (including volunteers), handle complaints, assess and arrange resources for work activities, monitor compliance and be responsible for all associated WHS requirements.
They will also possess an excellent working knowledge of turf management.
A relevant trade certificate in Greenkeeping and Golf Course operations with at least four to six years' relevant work experience is essential along with excellent interpersonal skills with the general public and fellow employees.
Salary & Conditions:
The position is Grade 12 in Council’s salary system (from $74,472.84 to $83,823.48 per annum) plus 11% superannuation and applicable allowances.
Conditions of employment are in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award.
The position is 38 hours per week with a fortnightly Rostered Day Off.
Prior to commencement, the successful applicant will be required to undergo a ‘Pre-employment Functional Assessment” which includes an Alcohol & Other Drug screening.
