Opportunity
This exciting regional leadership opportunity has a pivotal role in our organisation and is entrusted with the responsibility of overseeing and coordinating various aspects of Regional Sourcing and Procurement Integration, Synergies work and Process Standardization. You will lead strategic initiatives aimed at optimising regional portfolio spend management and enhancing operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Global & Regional Synergies Oversight: Take charge of coordinating and overseeing Global & Regional Synergies workstreams, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and timelines.
- Regional Spend Portfolio: Provide support for the review of the "new" combined Regional Spend Portfolio, identifying and evaluating additional Regional Sourcing opportunities to drive cost optimization and value generation.
- Interface with key client executives, ensure effective visibility of the Supply Chains vision, and build and maintain strong working relationships with internal clients. Ensure internal client satisfaction.
- Process Management and Support: Offer direction and support for Ariba S2C / Stage Gate processes, SRiM, and General Contracting, ensuring adherence to best practices and compliance to policy and standards.
- Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as a Subject Matter Expert, providing guidance and expertise to the 5 Integration Workstreams in the S2C space, fostering knowledge sharing and ongoing cross-functional collaboration.
- Contract and Investment Reviews: Coordinate and support immediate Contract and Investment reviews for Australia and Papua New Guinea, directly addressing process standardization challenges.
- Provide crucial support to Manager, Sourcing and Portfolio Management in managing workload effectively.
- Responsible for the implementation, continuous improvement and execution of Newmont’s strategic sourcing strategies, policies and guidelines to drive shared goals and objectives across the entire Supply Chain in regard to goods and service categories and contracts.
Located at our Regional Head Office, this role offers a hybrid working arrangement with travel to domestic or international sites when required. You will be required to collaborate effectively across our global and regional supply chain organisations.
About You
This role will suit a seasoned supply chain professional with proven experience in project management, in the context of Sourcing & Procurement integration projects. You will have a deep understanding of Ariba S2C / Stage Gate processes, SRiM, and General Contracting. Qualifications in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field will also hold your application in good stead.
Other complementary skills we will be looking for include:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a keen eye for identifying optimization opportunities.
- Demonstrated ability to manage workload effectively and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
