Acromat, Australia's leading manufacturer of sporting equipment and retractable-tiered seating is committed to providing our customers with the best quality Australian designed and manufactured products. We require a 'hands on' supervisor to lead our small assembly and dispatch team.
This full time, Adelaide based role presents as a wonderful opportunity for you to continue utilising your strong trade experience, leadership and management skills with a stable and successful employer.
What needs to be done?
· Manage and fully participate in a team assembling, painting and dispatching our products;
· Help the team solve problems and adopt efficient practices while maintaining quality;
· Lead 'on the floor', showing your mastery of your skills and helping others to improve their skills and do their work safely;
· Materials and consumables management including transport and customer liaison;
· Planning and scheduling work to meet order, project delivery and spares inventory needs and deadlines;
· Continuous liaison with the Supervisor Structural Steel Fabrication on production throughput and staffing requirements
· Regular liaison with the upholstery shop, drawing office and sales teams.
If you are the right person, what will you will bring to the table?
· Strong trade experience with a light manufacturing background;
· Excellent at product assembly systems using air tools, hand tools, electric tools and jigs;
· Significant assembly and dispatch experience;
· Previous experience successfully 'hands on' supervising a team in an industrial setting;
· An awareness of and demonstrated compliance with all relevant work health and safety requirements;
· Sound people leadership and management skills;
· Enthusiasm, reliability and be a great team oriented person.
