About the role As a Mine Control Supervisor at Newmont, you will oversee the effective operations of the Control Room Team by providing support and regular engagement with the team.
Your Skills Checklist
- Previous experience in a Mine Control Supervisor position or extensive experience in a Mine Controller, Builder or Pit (Field) Builder position
- Advanced user of Autonomous Hauling operating systems.
- Experience using Command/MineStar.
- Current Quarry Manager Ticket – desirable.
- Strong leadership and team building ability.
- Proficient in computer operation and application
- Ability to prioritise conflicting schedules.
- Approachable and results oriented.
- Competent written and verbal communicator.
- Previous experience in a high tonnage open pit operation.
Key Accountabilities
- Manage appropriate crew numbers and allocation of resources to achieve planned outcomes and execution of daily mine plan.
- Manage team performance to ensure KPIs are delivered through providing coaching and regular feedback.
- Engage with Site Stakeholders to ensure team expectations are being met.
- Facilitate training and development of team.
- You will join a dynamic team that is at the forefront of the gold mining industry and further develop your skills and experience operating innovative safety systems and technologies.
