It works alongside national and international organisations, contributing to global research, promoting life-long learning, and developing and hosting world-class exhibitions.About the roleThis position coordinates daily Visitor Services operations, including high presentation standards of exhibition areas, tour-guiding, some public programs, admissions, customer service, and public liaison; and ensures safety and security to the public and the Museum collection. A strong customer focus with a teamwork emphasis and can-do attitude is crucial for this role.About youWe are looking for a dynamic, self-motivated individual who works well in a positive team environment, enjoys a challenge, and wants to make a difference.The successful applicant will be expected to:
- Supervise a large team including rostering, timesheets, and overseeing the daily allocations of staff.
- Respond to the needs of a large cultural institution including daily operations and other events, as required.
- Have excellent customer service skills in dealing with public, educational institutions, and VIP visitors, with a passion and understanding of what makes a great visitor experience.
- Good knowledge of the arts and culture sector is an advantage.

- A statement of no more than 2x A4 pages addressing the following essential work-related requirements. Please provide relevant examples to support your claims:
- Demonstrated understanding of the importance of good customer service and the ability to engage with visitors and staff in a friendly and professional manner.
- Demonstrated experience in team supervision.
- Demonstrated high level of problem solving, organisational and time management skills, using a range of computer applications.
- Eligibility to work in Australia; and
- A Working with Children Check will be required for this role.
