ABOUT THE JOB
We are seeking a dynamic, proactive, and energetic Supplier Manager within our passionate Cycles and Procurement team. This unique role could either be based in Sydney or Auckland as it manages the ANZ supplier base. As a key responsibility, you will ensure the high performance of all suppliers of the non-dairy raw materials across Danone in ANZ. The non-dairy category includes but is not limited to, LCPs, Oils and Fats, Fruit Preparations, Flavours, Vitamins and Minerals, Modifiers, Cultures, and Enzymes.
Reporting to ANZ Raw Materials & CBU Indirect Senior Manager, you are responsible for the performance that impacts Danone ANZ deliveries, production plans, innovation, business continuity plans, and cost competitiveness, and will involve the implementation of requests from Global, Regional, and Local ANZ teams to meet Danone Group objectives.
Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
- Maintain and build supplier relations for our Specialised Nutrition business in New Zealand and Essential Dairy Products business in Australia.
- Manage end-to-end projects for approval of new materials and onboarding new suppliers for new materials.
- Analyse supplier performance, identify areas for improvement and coordinate effective corrective and preventative actions.
- Implement global and regional procurement strategies for all non-dairy raw materials.
- Working collaboratively with internal stakeholders on different innovation projects regarding introducing new suppliers and materials.
- SPOC for supplier inquiries, concerns, issues, and innovation projects for new materials.
- Skillfully negotiate the terms of any local ANZ contracts to ensure the terms are aligned with global requirements.
- Ensure all required documentation is recorded and updated for internal audits in line with ANZ Import regulations and Danone requirements.
ABOUT YOU
You are a people person with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse cross-functional stakeholders, build relations, and effectively coordinate tasks to support the business. Your prior experience in a similar role within a fast-paced manufacturing environment will help you succeed in this role. Your agility and ability to own areas of responsibility, work with shifting priorities, attention to detail, empathy, sound influencing skills, and persistence to see a task through will be highly beneficial in the role.
To be successful you will have:
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering/Procurement/Supply Chain or any related field.
- Proven experience in supplier management in food manufacturing / FMCG environment.
- Sound IT skills with proficiency or Advanced Excel skills.
- Prior experience in Project Management is desired.
- Agile mindset with an ability to meet deadlines and complete tasks promptly.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
