Our client is a National Flooring supplier that has renowned product and has established itself as a market leader within the industry. This role is critical for the continual growth and development of the company’s expansion plans in NSW. They continue to introduce new and innovative flooring products & accessories to gain further market share within Australia.
Role
As the Area Manager, your primary responsibility is to maintain and develop a territory consisting of Flooring Contractors and Retailers in the Greater Sydney area and regional NSW. This opportunity would suit a dynamic and career driven salesperson that has good exposure to the building products and/or construction sales space and is looking to grow within a business long term. Due to the strength of the training and mentorship available in this position, our client is also open to somebody less experienced that has the right attitude and a willingness to be trained and developed.
Skills & Experience
We are seeking applicants who can demonstrate the following skills and experience;
- Strong presentation skills with an ambitious & outgoing personality
- Experience in Flooring and/or Flooring Accessories is highly desired BUT not essential
- Existing relationships with at least one of the desired customer segments in the description above
- Experience within building products/construction sales is a must have
- Proven track record in sales and overachieving targets
- Good technical understanding of the construction industry in general
- High degree of energy, be self-motivated and desire to be rewarded for your hard efforts
- Stable track record of employment and desire to move into a long-term career role
