Tasks & responsibilities
- Develop and implement Supply Chain strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives, including cost reduction, improved efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
- Manage Relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts and ensure timely and cost effective procurement of materials, goods and services.
- Optimise inventory levels to meet demand while minimising carrying costs and preventing shortages.
- Oversee the movement of goods withing the Supply Chain, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution.
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to forecast demand for products and ensure that supply meets demand.
- Identify potential risks in the Supply Chain such as disruptions. develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.
Qualifications & experience
- A bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, Operations Management, or related field.
- Industry certifications, such as Certified Supply Chain Professional(CSCP), Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM), or Certified Professional in Supply Chain Management (CPSM)
- A strong understanding of transportation, warehousing, and distribution processes for efficient product flow.
- Experience in Budget Management, and cost optimisation. Maintaining and Improving product quality standards throughout Supply Chain
- Demonstrated experience in leading and managing teams.
- Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies (e.g. lean, six Sigma) to enhance Supply Chain efficiency and reduce waste.
- Desirable: Experience in Project Management in a defence environment.
