The Opportunity
The Supply Chain Manager is integral to our success, responsible for developing and implementing supplier-related strategies, streamlining the Supply Chain process, and maximising value for money outcomes with consideration for value, innovation, and quality, whilst effectively mitigating supply risks.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, manage and coordinate all activities related to the sourcing and procurement of required merchandise to meet the changing levels of product demand, new merchandise and campaigns aligned to the Marketing Calendar.
- Lead, coordinate and communicate global Supply Chain functions through strategy, stakeholder engagement, resource optimization, profitability maximisation and achievement of desired objectives.
- Be the gatekeeper of our global Supply Chain strategy; seeking continual improvement that aligns to meeting objectives, executing best practice, and providing regular reporting.
- Plan, lead and communicate effective facilitation of transfers from our internal warehouses or stores to ensure these are customer centric, commercially driven and disciplined in process.
- Monitor and correct inventory levels at outside warehouses (3PL) and internally to ensure rotation of stock and the maximisation of working capital, escalating any issues.
- Partners with freight forwards and transport companies to establish best route, rate and service that delivers required objectives and review, negotiate, and approve all freight terms and conditions.
- Collaborates with the Trade Team to determine best practice for freight in and freight consolidation, displaying a solid understanding of FOB requirements.
- Understand, lead and support proper utilisation of the ERP system to aid informed decision making, streamline processes, be customer centric and commercially driven.
- Develop and maintain a working rapport and understanding of our internal warehouse operations; seeking commercial and process opportunities that allow us to improve our domestic Supply Chain model.
- Support the global Supply Chain model adopted by our E-Commerce team, ensuring our Supply Chain functions allow us to build a strong and sustainable Omni-Channel retail and wholesale offer.
The Successful Candidate Will Possess:
- Tertiary qualified in Supply Chain / Logistics or equivalent experience
- Ability to travel when required for the role – Interstate and occasional overseas
- Solid working knowledge of all Microsoft applications
- Strong levels of language, literacy & numeracy and the ability to learn quickly
