The Supply Chain Manager will assist in the oversee and manage the company's overall Supply Chain, this includes procurement and logistics strategy to maximise efficiencies and productivity and to maximise customer satisfaction at the lowest possible cost. Oversee and improve the processes in the warehouse and develop and maintain good lasting relationships with vendors and service suppliers and manage contract negotiations for storage (3PL) and freight.Responsibilities/Tasks
- Direct and coordinate national Supply Chain functions through strategy, resource optimisation, profitability maximisation, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), resulting in the maximisation of customer satisfaction.
- Champion the implementation of a fully integrates ERP system and introducing associated technologies to maximise performance
- Contract management of 3PL service level agreements for transport and storage
- Negotiate procurement supply contracts.
- Oversee the procurement team and maintain Master Data, purchasing information records, source lists for raw materials, packaging and consumables.
- Liaise with external suppliers in regards to any quality control issues and continuously monitor, evaluate and improve supplier performance.
- Improve the processes in the warehouse and coordinate the warehouse activity through the warehouse manager.
- Lead a team in executing best practices and measuring performance through agreed upon KPIs.
- Work with senior management, customer service and sales to determine most cost-effective distribution solution for finished goods transportation to customers.
- Work with freight forwarders to set best process and rates, review and manage all freight terms and agreements
- Support proper utilisation of the ERP system for the Supply Chain and logistic functions with special focus on the Warehouse Management System
- Keep detailed records, generate reports, and develop presentations to aid decision making with the business
- Previous extensive experience in the Supply Chain space
- Excellent knowledge of Supply Chain processes including procurement
- Working experience of relevant Warehouse Management Systems
- Good written and verbal communication skills
