The successful candidate will manage a dedicated Supply Chain team in the automotive industry, ensuring timely and cost-effective production. This includes overseeing purchasing, logistics, warehousing, inventory,production scheduling, storage, and spare parts. What you'll do:
As a Supply Chain Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing the broad Supply Chain team. Your responsibilities will span across various areas including purchasing, logistics, warehousing, inventory management, bill of materials handling, vehicle production scheduling, vehicle storage management, and spare parts provision. You will have the opportunity to develop and implement innovative processes that enhance part availability and control. Your ability to build strong relationships with local and international suppliers will be crucial in ensuring process compliance and timely delivery of parts. Collaborating with key internal stakeholders such as manufacturing, finance, engineering, and quality teams will also form a significant part of your role.
- Manage the Supply Chain team responsible for purchasing, logistics, warehousing, inventory, bill of materials, vehicle production scheduling, vehicle storage, and spare parts.
- Develop and implement processes and systems to continuously improve part availability and control.
- Develop effective relationships with local and international suppliers to ensure process compliance and timely delivery of parts.
- Engage with key internal stakeholders including manufacturing, finance, engineering, and quality teams.
- Manage the purchasing of both production and non-production materials according to required technical specifications.
- Optimise lower inventory and shipping costs through effective inventory management.
- Accurately manage production scheduling through MRP and demand planning.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the Supply Chain Manager position brings a wealth of experience in the automotive manufacturing industry or related field. With at least ten years' experience in Supply Chain management under your belt, you have a proven track record in delivering effective Supply Chain and logistics solutions. Your ability to lead a team in a hands-on management capacity sets you apart, as does your adaptability in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You possess an advanced level of written and verbal communication skills, enabling you to effectively liaise with both local and international suppliers. - Bachelor's Degree in Material Planning & Logistics or an Engineering discipline.
- Minimum ten years' experience in Supply Chain within the automotive manufacturing or related industry.
- Proven track record in delivering Supply Chain and logistics solutions.
- Experience leading a team with a hands-on management capacity.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Advanced level of written and verbal communication skills.
