We are looking for Support Workers who are willing to work in Warradale/Marion area and surrounds.
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience in Disability or Individual Support or caring role
- Preferably have Certificate in Disability, Aged Care or Individual Support
- Experience working with autism, intellectual disabilities, and complex needs
- Able to provide person-centred approach
- Full drivers licence and reliable vehicle with comprehensive rego
- Valid First Aid Certificate, Police Check
- Punctual, on-time for shifts, professional attitude, organised and teachable/ coachable, willing to grow, reliable, dependable and highly motivated
- Department of Human Services (DHS) Disability Services Employment Screening
- Patient, firm, kind and respectful towards people with disabilities
Tasks & responsibilities
- Assist clients in daily tasks including personal care, showering, toileting, meal preparation and feeding, cleaning and laundry, assist in medication
- Assist clients to participate in community, social and recreation activities
- Transport clients to various appointments and activities
- Provide person-centred, active support to clients
- Write case notes, reports, medication charts and respond to work emails and texts
- Communicate with the team, families and professionals as needed
- Attend training and development programs as directed
