Additionally, our Client participates in hydrotherapy sessions, so you will be required to assist him into, and out of the pool, as well as supporting him in the pool while he participates in his class.
To best support our Client he will also require, assistance with personal cares, assistance with community access, and assisting our client with a Sara Steady therefore it would also be important that the right applicant has manual handling skills.
Some understanding of Parkinsons would be an advantage.
Shifts for this Client are weekdays between 11.00am and 2.30pm twice a week and 10.00am to 1.30pm once a week.

To deliver high quality support to our Clients in the capacity they require, the exact way they would like it delivered
Communicate effectively and collaborate for our Clients' needs with our Clients, team & Support Specialist
Understand, follow instructions, and be responsive to our Clients needs
Provide support to our Clients as required
Have good rapport building skills and a gentle, encouraging manner
Be reliable and flexible to fill shifts when required
Have an interest in building a respectful relationship with our Clients
To support our Clients to achieve their NDIS Goals
To be Successful you must…
Resonate with the role description above
Hold CPR and first aid certificate (or willingness to obtain)
Hold NDIS worker screening (or willingness to obtain)
Hold or be willing to obtain a blue card
Hold Certificate III in disability or related fields (or willingness to obtain- preferred)
Have evidence of eligibility and right to work in Australia
Have a genuine desire to positively change people's lives
Manual handling experience
