Our story. It started with a family and their challenge to find disability support that worked for them. They needed more, and knew that people with disability could have more independence, choice and control in their lives. The Hireup purpose was born, and now we strive to enable the pursuit of a good life for everyone.

What you'll do - Support Worker Coach
The Support Worker Coach provides Hireup Support Workers with induction, coaching and other support services that are integral to Hireup’s mission to develop a quality workforce who support our clients to pursue their good life.
This role will deliver meaningful services at the start of a Support Worker’s employment journey to enable their long-term success as a Hireup employee.
Please note - this is a 6 month fixed term contract, and is 4 days per week.
- Deliver induction services to Support Workers
- Deliver coaching services to Support Workers
- Deliver other support services for Support Workers to advance Hireup’s Support Worker strategy over time
Your Background
- Support worker experience is highly desirable
- Motivated to connect with our users and make an impact
- Experience providing exceptional customer service and building relationships through understanding individual needs and meeting Support Workers where they are
- Strong communication skills and ability to respectfully deliver meaningful services which support employees in the moments that matter
- Strong presentation skills - you are able to present to audiences in a clear and confident manner, with the ability to adjust your engagement approach based on group dynamics to ensure an engaging experience for participants
- A willingness to learn and try new things, as well as motivation to learn and develop new skills
- Uses problem solving, creativity and initiative to find the right solution for each individual and ensure operational efficiency
- Encompass an eagerness to work in a fast paced and flexible environment
- Strong connection to, or interest in building an understanding of the Australian disability sector and community
- Approaches work with high-energy, drive and internal motivation
- Exhibits adaptability, resilience, transparency, trustworthiness, passion and innate curiosity
