About the role:
An opportunity exists for an experienced and motivated professional to join our Sustainability and Resilience Team in the role of Sustainability and Climate Change Officer. You will be responsible for leading and supporting the delivery of Council’s climate ambitions.
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following key skills and attributes:
- A tertiary qualification in fields related to environmental management, resilience, climate science and/or substantive experience in relevant areas.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of climate science, including opportunities to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
- Excellent skills in planning, prioritising and managing multiple competing demands.
- Demonstrated ability to develop strong working relationships and provide cross-organisational support.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to resolve conflict.
- Working knowledge of relevant legislation, government policy and practice, including Local, State and Federal
- Demonstrated skills in policy and procedure development.
