Brighton Council's Planning Services have a great opportunity for a Sustainability and Climate Project Officer.
Being a leader of change to support the development and delivery of Council's environmental leadership and sustainability priorities for Council and the community a focus on action responding to climate change.
You are passionate and love to work collaboratively with others. You will be responsible for assisting and developing with the preparation, promotion and development of Council's sustainability and climate adaptation and mitigation projects, policies and strategies.
You will be responsible for implementing the key actions of Brighton Council's Climate Change and Resilience Strategy as well as advising us on climate-related matters to help embed a climate action throughout the organisation. Not to mention facilitating projects in rewilding, biodiversity and education!
You are passionate about sustainability and climate change and committed to making a real difference in the lives of the community.
You will have a qualification in Tertiary qualifications in Urban Planning, Sustainability, Natural Resource Management, Environmental engineering or relevant qualifications with relevant experience.
Salary Range: Professional (Level 2-3): Salary to be negotiated with successful applicant and will be dependent on qualifications and experience.
This position attracts a 14.5% superannuation entitlement.

Position Hours: To be negotiated with the successful applicant. A typical working day is Monday to Friday, 8.15am to 4.45pm (30 minutes lunch).
