The Role:

• Lead the management and maintenance of our cloud-based infrastructure, focusing on ensuring reliability, scalability, and security.
• Excel in a dynamic, team-oriented environment where your expertise contributes to our technological backbone.
• Innovate and implement system solutions in our Croydon Park headquarters, with the flexibility for occasional travel.
• Tackle challenges head-on with on-call rotations, guaranteeing our infrastructure's optimal performance at all times.

About You:

• You are an expert in virtualization tools such as Xen or VMware, with a deep understanding of backups, disaster recovery, and replication strategies.
• Your networking and Linux administration skills are unparalleled; you're comfortable configuring and securing systems and networks efficiently.
• You have a strong foundation in scripting for automation and maintenance tasks, with proficiency in tools like Ansible.
• Documentation is your strong suit, stellar troubleshooting skills and the ability to communicate effectively across teams.
• You're proactive, keen on technological advancements, and always looking for ways to improve infrastructure stability and efficiency.
• Additional skills in SQL, web server management (especially Nginx), control systems, or programming languages like Python, Julia or JS are highly regarded.
