Job description

The Administrative Appeals Tribunal is currently seeking applications for two System Analysts, to join the Enterprise Technology Group. These positions can be located in Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Hobart, Melbourne, Sydney or Perth. 

Remuneration: The annual salary for the position is APS5 - $82,616 - 87,608 p.a., plus a generous employer superannuation contribution of 15.4%.

The two positions will be non-ongoing for 12 months with the possibility of extension to ongoing.

About the opportunity:

The System Analyst is part of the development team in the eService’s section, which is responsible for the support and development of AAT Case Management Systems (CMS) and other business applications.

The System Analyst provides user support, specialises in the AAT core systems, provides advice on upcoming projects and collaboratively engages with the Infrastructure, Development, and Project teams. 

You will be required to provide quality and responsive 1st and 2nd level support to members and staff of the AAT across case management systems and related business application systems. Undertake routine maintenance of critical business application systems, including backups, server updates, and monitoring of system logs.

About you:

To be successful you will require:

  • Demonstrated experience in identifying and resolve issues with business system applications
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the specification, development, research, and evaluation of service standards.
  • Demonstrated understanding and experience in monitoring performance, creating scripts and reports, identifying problems and issues, performing routine configuration, installation, and reconfiguration of databases.
  • Demonstrated capability in imitating and managing actions to investigate and resolve problems, including collaborating across multi-functional team to implement agreed remedies and preventative measures.
  • Experience in managing problems and issues including leading corrective actions, lessons learned, and the collection and dissemination of relevant information.
  • Experience in Investigating products, systems, and services to assess behaviour and whether it meets specified or unspecified requirements and characteristics:

Mandatory:

  • Academic or Vocational certification in Technology and/or relevant industry experience

Desirable:

  • Vocational certification or experience in modern software development lifecycle methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, XP, SAFe.

Position Eligibility Requirements:

The AAT requires Australian citizenship as a condition of engagement.

All employees are required to undertake an Australian Federal Police Check and health assessment.
