As a Systems Accountant at Haigh's Chocolates, your financial expertise will be instrumental in maintaining and improving system functionality and security, analysing data and generating reports. Your skills will ensure the reliability and precision of financial systems. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will be based at our Head Office in Parkside on a permanent basis.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Oversee system upgrades, integrations and maintenance to meet business needs while ensuring the security and integrity of financial data.
- Lead projects to automate financial processes, collaborate with teams to implement improvements aligned with accounting standards and document procedures for efficient operations.
- Create reports and perform financial analysis for accuracy, compliance and audits.
- Provide training and support to finance and accounting staff on the use of financial systems and tools.
- Collaborate across departments to integrate financial systems, ensuring seamless data integration across Haighs, serving as a liaison between finance, IT, and vendors.
- Keep up to date with changes in regulations and trends in financial systems and technology.
- You will hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce, plus qualification with CPA Australia or CA Australia (or working towards it).
In your first year, you will focus on projects such as the ERP upgrade (QAD) and be involved in the Point of Sale and Bar Code Scanning projects. Subsequent years will involve continuous improvement initiatives for finance projects, reporting and process efficiencies.
