ROLE
As the System Administrator you’ll be working as part of the Technology Services team. In this role you will be undertaking a business-critical role that is responsible for the maintenance, installation, configuration, automation, and security of Lifeline Australia’s Enterprise Windows systems.
As the Systems Administrator, you will be required to operate in a high-availability environment supporting test and production systems.
This role is suitable for a Systems Administrator with core Windows admin skills yet still has broad IT infrastructure experience on enterprise level technology (e.g. including server admin, storage, backups, virtualization etc).
Duties include:
- Troubleshoot, install, configure, build, maintain and secure Windows infrastructure.
- Setting up and maintaining virtual machines, requiring sound knowledge and experience around VMware vSphere and VMWare Horizon -
- Migrating on-prem servers to Azure.
- Managing Active Directory environment now in Azure cloud.
- Develop and deploy Windows SOE’s across the physical, virtual and cloud environments.
- Support Exchange Online, Active Directory, DNS & Backup.
- Implement and manage ADFS.
- Automation via PowerShell, SCCM/MECM.
- Manage Office 365 and Azure AD.
- Work with application owners to install, manage and upgrade systems.
- Patching and documentation.
- Contribute to infrastructure architecture.
- Participate in on-call roster as required.
- Deploy, renew and manage SSL certificates.
Experience required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related field.
- Microsoft stack - Active Directory Hybrid environment with Azure AD
- Wintel Management (Server 2019, 2016, 2012 R2)Office 365/AzureAD/Exchange Online/Mimecast
- MECM/SCCM

- F5 Load balancers
- Extensive Windows Admin experience (troubleshooting, builds, customization, performance tuning, & hardening experience etc.)
- Exposure to FC/IP based storage protocols is beneficial.
- Supporting 24x7 live production systems is highly beneficial.
- Implementing and maintaining ISO 27001 standards.
- Relevant certifications (e.g. MCSA / MCSE etc.)
