Systems / Controls / Scada Engineer

We are an Australian Design and Manufacturing operation working across water technologies in Australia and overseas.

We have a current vacancy on our Perth Malaga office for a Graduate / Systems engineer to join our engineering team.

This role will include both in-house designed integration of devices and sensors with larger connected networks development, deployment and support for innovative solutions for both large and small-scale projects. Role will include close interaction with the engineering and operations teams.

This is a great chance for someone early in their career to put their education to practical use or for someone who may have overseas experience but no local experience to join an innovative company dealing with current technologies.

The role includes involvement in areas such as:

• Development, testing and support of the range of irrigation automation, remote monitoring and cloud-based data solutions.
• Development and support of SCADA systems 
• Development and support of software for new products and features
• Setup and support of communications TCP/IP networks using cellular modem and licensed data radios
• Test and validation of new systems
• Assisting with all aspects of project specification and delivery
• Communicating directly with customers to identify and resolve issues

We are looking for someone who has either studied or has had technical experience in some of the listed technologies below:

• SCADA or PLC controls experience
• Software configuration and debugging
• Windows/Linux configuration and debugging
• Configuration and debugging of UDP/TCP/IP networks
• Programming in multiple programming languages 
• Experience with data radio networks and cellular modems
• Experience with instrumentation and control systems practices
• Experience in development of cloud and web services
• Familiar with cyber security principles and VPN configuration
