About the opportunity

The Victorian Government is upgrading the Eastern Freeway with new express lanes, new traffic management technology and Melbourne’s first dedicated busway. These changes will slash travel times and improve public transport in Melbourne’s east.

Laing O’Rourke is part of the Eastern Freeway – Burke to Tram Alliance with Major Road Projects Victoria, Symal, Arcadis and WSP. Our scope of work includes a new interchange connecting the Eastern Freeway to the North East Link tunnels, major road and bridge upgrades between Burke Road and Tram Road, smart traffic management technology upgrades and new noise protection to meet Victoria’s toughest traffic noise standards. The local community will also benefit from new and upgraded walking and cycling connections, upgrades to Koonung Creek Reserve and revitalised wetlands and open spaces.

About the role

We are currently seeking a Talent Acquisition Partnerto join us based out of Melbourne working across some the largest Infrastructure, Rail and Construction projects across the country.

Key responsibilities

  • Source, attract & appoint talented people. That is, people who not only meet the role criteria, but also align with our people-centric culture
  • Partnering with our senior delivery and operational leaders
  • Contribute to our recruitment campaigns and manage the internal movement of employees.

About you

  • You will ideally have 3-5 years of technical and engineering recruitment exposure
  • You will be responsible for recruiting large-volumes of vacancies, especially during project ramp-ups. Therefore, it’s essential you are self-organised and self-motivated, with excellent relationship-building skills
  • You will ideally have held an internal recruitment role within construction, rail  engineering or heavy industrial industry sectors
  • You will enjoy building relationships with stakeholders, have the ability to influence and enjoy being a part of a high performing team
