About the role
 

The Lawyer is responsible for provision of high quality, timely, ethical and professional legal services in relation to civil matters involving the NSWPF. This can include Administrative Law litigation and advice (particularly in the regulatory and licensing context), privacy and open government, government finance and procurement, general commercial work, royal commissions and inquiries, and coronial work. The ideal candidate will have either experience in or capacity to undertake Administrative Law matters and other crime-adjacent civil work.

 

This Talent Pool is being created for future Ongoing or Temporary roles that may arise over the next 18 months. If assigned to a role, successful applicants will have the opportunity to work flexibly across a range of interesting legal subject matter areas and contribute towards furthering the objectives of a government agency serving a fundamental public purpose. 

Placement in the Talent Pool remains valid for 18 months. There is no guarantee of employment as a result of this Talent Pool

To be eligible for ongoing roles, you must meet one of the following statuses: 

  • an Australian Citizen;
  • a permanent resident of Australia; or
  • a New Zealand citizen. 

Prior to commencement, the successful candidate will be required to undergo a rigorous National Police (criminal history) Check and obtain and maintain a Security Clearance as determined by the NSW Police Force.
