Your duties and responsibilities
- Preparation of Tax Returns, Financial Statements, and Activity Statements for all types of entities including companies, partnerships, trusts and individuals.
- Offering advice to clients on computer-based accounting systems and ways to improve efficiencies in their business, including associated record keeping requirements.
- Examining operating costs and organisations' income and expenditure.
- Identifying opportunities to add value to clients by understanding their needs and co-ordinating additional services.
- Assisting senior accountants on projects providing financial and taxation advice on business structures, plans and operations.
- Providing a high level of service to our diversified client base, including responding to queries via email and phone, as well as attending meetings both face-to-face and online.
Required experience and qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in Accounting
- Qualified CA or CPA
- Minimum 5 years Australian experience in business services and/or tax division
- Efficient and effective time management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Certification and experience using Xero, QuickBooks and MYOB
- Experience using Xero Practice Manager and Xero Tax
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 suite (e.g., Outlook, Word, Teams, Planner etc.)
