Tax Accountant

Join the dynamic BAS Reporting and Tax Services team for global Bank. This team plays a pivotal role in supporting business activities within the Operations division.

You will be responsible for contributing to client deliverables, transitions, and projects impacting the Tax Services team. Your primary focus will be on preparing BAS reporting, trust distributions, and other taxable income calculations. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure accurate and timely delivery of tax reporting deliverables.
• Prepare distribution calculations, life and superannuation fund tax calculations, and tax returns.
• Review and maintain client tax profiles and security static data for reporting and tax calculations.
• Reconcile investment system data to accounting ledgers.
• Address and respond to client queries promptly.
• Adhere to operational compliance and risk policies.
• Assist in project completion, including tax template testing.
• Actively contribute to meeting team deliverables.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Understanding of basic tax accounting principles for financial instruments, trusts, and/or superannuation funds.
• Familiarity with fund accounting, reporting, and related operational risk and compliance requirements.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or related field.
• Qualified Accountant (CA/CPA).
• Experience with central accounting systems and reconciliation production.
• Proven track record of results orientation and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
