Tax Accountant - Team Leader

Our client is a fully integrated Tax & Advisory firm with a broad client base of HNW Individuals, SMSF, Sole Traders, Companies and Trusts. The Role:
As the Tax Accountant you will be responsible for managing and developing a team of accountants whilst managing all compliance related duties for your portfolio. With your wealth of knowledge and experience within Australia tax legislation, you provide complex tax advice to your client portfolio.

• Preparation of Financial Statements, Tax Returns, and BAS/IAS for Individuals, Partnerships, Sole Traders, Companies and Trusts
• Preparation of FBT returns.
• Management accounting, budgeting and cash flow statements
• Liaising with various statutory authorities on behalf of clients including the ATO and ASIC.
• Solid understanding of Payroll and lodging Payroll Tax obligations on behalf of clients
• Taxation advice and planning
• Manage and review Junior Accountants workflow

About You:

• Degree qualified (Accounting, Commerce or Business)
• CPA or CA qualified
• Experience with taxation structures, Division 7a, CGT, small business concessions & superannuation
• Previous accounting experience within a public practice
• Advanced Xero, MYOB and Excel skills
