SalaryAs the Tax Advisor you will report directly to one of the 3 Tax Managers and work closely with the other Tax Advisor focusing on income tax. you will further support and contribute to the achievement of Group Tax strategies by participating in Group Tax projects and improvements. Your role will also include but not be limited to the following duties.
- Deliver taxation compliance services and analysis (including, but not limited to, the preparation of GST/VAT, income tax and excise returns)
- Provide tax advice which demonstrates an understanding of the business’s commercial strategic objectives and key drivers and is technically accurate, fit for purposes, practical and delivered
- Ensure tax compliance, tax reporting (actuals and budget/forecast) including tax-effect accounting requirements are met to high standards, both on a stand-alone company and consolidated group level
- Develop the skills and capabilities of the team’s Tax Analysts.
- Identify and assist with implementation of taxation processes and system improvements.
- Drive excellence in tax governance processes and controls
- Assist in preparation and updating transfer pricing documentation for the group
- Assist across the Finance Team pro-actively where possible
- Ad hoc projects and tasks as directed by the Head of Tax and wider finance team
Ideally you will approximately 3-5 years of experience working in Big 4/mid-tier tax professional services firm and/or multinational organisation. You will have extensive knowledge of Australian income taxation, tax compliance matters and tax risk appetite relevant to a large listed corporate group and will also have proven stakeholder management experience.
